Key November 2025 Tax Deadlines for Businesses

As the end of the year approaches, businesses often find themselves navigating a sea of responsibilities, from wrapping up fiscal projects to preparing for holiday festivities. Amid this rush, it's crucial to stay on top of essential tax deadlines. For November 2025, key submissions such as Form 941 and associated deposits require your attention.

November 10 - Social Security, Medicare, and Withheld Income Tax

Form 941 for Q3 2025 must be filed by November 10. This applies if you've completed the tax deposit fully and timely for the quarter.

November 17 - Social Security, Medicare, and Withheld Income Tax Deposits

This deadline is significant for employers under the monthly deposit rule, marking November 17 as the last day to deposit Social Security, Medicare, and withheld income tax for October 2025. Additionally, if you have nonpayroll withholding obligations under the same rule, aim for this deadline for your October commitments.

Considerations for Weekends & Holidays:

Should deadlines overlap with a Saturday, Sunday, or recognized holiday, expect an automatic extension to the subsequent business day that isn’t a legal holiday.

Disaster Area Filings:

For businesses within a federally designated disaster area, deadline extensions may apply. Keep informed of these changes by consulting FEMA's disaster declarations and the IRS’s resource page for tax relief in disaster situations.
